Sultans of KarayaSKU: sultansofkaraya

It is a backstabbing and intrigue in Karaya. The Rebels want to unseat the Sultan. The Loyalists want to preserve the status quo. The Neutral characters are conniving to try to end up on the winning side. You must gather information and use your character?s powers wisely to win the round. Allegiances are secret and ever changing, making for an unpredictable and dynamic game.

Review:At the beginning of the round, each player starts with a random character. There are two factions: Rebel and Loyalists. You want to be on the winning side when the round ends.

On a player?s turn, perform one of the following actions: (1) Peek at another player?s character card; (2) Switch with another character; (3) If your character was revealed, ask everyone to close their eyes and switch with another character (you can also bluff, and not switch at all ? but make sure you make some decoy noises!); (4) Use your character special action.

Round ends when the Sultan is killed; or all assassins are dead and no more than 2 slaves are alive; or 3 slaves are free and revealed and are adjacent to one another. If you are on the winning side when the game ends, score one point if your character was still hidden and score two points if your character was revealed.

Play 5 rounds and the player with the most points at the end is the most cunning and devious (also the winner of the game).

This is another twist to the werewolf (or mafia) game but in this game you can try to switch sides when you think you are about to lose. Play with the right group of people ? this game is lots of fun!
