Review:

In Show Manager, players take the role of a production manager, hiring the best casts for 4 different musicals. Avoid miscasts because it can be costly.

The main actions on a player?s turn are to hire an actor or to stage a musical. Players are trying to collect sets of cards to perform the best musical. Some cards are worth more than others and because of hand size limit, sometimes you have no choice but to have miscasts.

After staging a musical, calculate the points of that musical; write the amount on your production tile and place it on the scoring board, with the highest number on the top position following by other tiles on descending order. The better the musical, the more points it is worth. During the game, if your musical is better than other players you can ?bump? them and it will be worth more points than them.

Money is tight in this game. If you are out of money, borrow money from one of your finished musical which will devalue your production.

When all players have staged their 4th musical, player with the most points wins.

Surprisingly, Show Manager is a fun game to play and it is one of my favorites.
