Tzaar is part of Project GIPF, a series of six strategy games for two players, as well as three sets of extra pieces called "potentials". The potentials introduce a system that makes it possible to link the other games of the project to GIPF. In Tzaar, the dilemma is shall you make your opponent weaker or yourself stronger? The goal of the game is either to capture the opponent's last Tzaar, Tzarra or Tott, or to put him in a position in which he cannot capture anymore.
